VISTELSESTIPENDIUM
Är du verksam som författare eller översättare? Behöver du tillgång till ett eget rum? Söker du arbetsro och ny inspiration? Nu kan du söka en månads vistelsestipendium under november 2024, inom ramen för AIR Litteratur Västra Götaland. Sök senast 23 april.
Vistelsestipendiet innebär en månads fritt boende och tillgång till arbetslokal. Stipendiesumman är 20 000 SEK. I vistelsestipendierna där värden är ett bibliotek eller en fri kulturaktör ingår dessutom ett författararvode på 8 500 SEK för ett offentligt framträdande som arrangeras under vistelsen, i samråd med värden.

Are you a writer or literary translator? Do you need access to your own workplace? Are you looking for a peaceful work environment and new inspiration? Now you can apply for a one-month residency grant for November 2024, within the framework of AIR Litteratur Västra Götaland. Please apply no later than April 23.
The residency grant includes one month of free accommodation and access to a workplace. The grant is worth 20,000 SEK. Where the host is a library or an independent actor within the cultural field, a writer’s fee of 8 500 SEK is also included for a public appearance. The appearance will be organized during the residency, in consultation with the host.

STATIONEN is a space for contemporary art and culture located in the old railway station in Svenshögen, 50 minutes north of Gothenburg in Sweden. We organize exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, literary events, dance performances and other projects and cooperate with artists and institutions in the region and in Sweden.
As an artist in residence at Stationen you will stay in the appartment on the second floor where you will have a bedroom/office, toilet and access to a kitchen. There is WIFI-connection. It’s an old building and the standard is basic and nice.
Svenshögen is a small village with around 400 inhabitants. It is located near the lake Hällungen and surrounded by forrests and fields. The train stops every hour and takes you to Gothenburg within an hour. The closest city is Stenungsund, 10 minutes by train where you find grocery stores, library, cinema etc.
